SiddhiSadhana

SiddhiSadhana is an initiative started by the students of Nawaz Mirajkar. "Siddhi" means perfection or attainment and "Sadhana" means practice or means of accomplishing something.
As the name suggests the objective of SiddhiSadhana is to assist any student in the practice of tabla and any form of Indian music in general. The group ,with members having years of experience in computer programming, works towards developing and sharing electronic tools for enhancing and amplifying the pleasure and fun in the practice of tabla.

Lehra Box is a lehra or nagma player for your Android device. LehraBox plays a rhythmic melody that serves as an accompaniment for playing Tabla. It is intended for providing and maintaining a constant speed or beats per minute while playing or practicing the Tabla. Lehra Box Composer provides an ability to compose your own lehra (nagma) - a rhythmic melody that serves as an accompaniment for playing Tabla (hindustani musical instrument) for use with the Lehra Box. From LehraBoxComposer, LehraBox (or LehraBoxLite) can be launched to play the composed lehra for Tabla accompaniment with all the features of LehraBox (or LehraBoxLite) being the same.

Tihai Shastra

 Tihai Shastra is an app to compose and play tihai, a polyrhythmic phrase typically used to conclude a piece in hindustani music. A Tihai composition consists of a pala (with or without pause or gap) which is repeated three times and lands on the sum or start of the taal. The app can be used for kathak / tabla / hindustani vocal singing practice.

Shruthi Laya is a Carnatic music related app, which serves as an aide in your classical carnatic music practice. It is for beginners learning Carnatic vocal or instruments such as violin, flute, veena and keyboard. Laya Tarang is a Hindustani music related app intended for the practice of Layakari (Polyrhythm) under basic hindustani taals. Layakari means the play of rhythm i.e., the simultaneous playing of two different rhythms. It is similar to the Polyrhythm in western music. With LayaTarang, learners of hindustani music (tabla, vocal and instrumental) and dance (kathak) can sharpen their Layakari skills. The app provides an ability to play 5 basic tabla taal in 8 different layakari and their combinations. Optional mode with tabla teka on 'barabar' and metronome in selected 'laya'  is useful for kathak dance practice and Hindustani vocal or instrumental music practice.
